Planting a vision

   Planting a vision

These past few months I've realized I've been playing it safe. I spent years at small jobs scared to take a leap of faith and do something different. Over these last few months, I learned that there is never going to be a better time to grow, learn and become a better version of yourself then today. Throughout the course of my time at a variety of different companies, I invested a lot of myself into my work. Pushing myself in ways that would allow us to grow and prosper in every area possible. I learned even a small action could result in a huge reaction a domino effect that in turn makes the company a place others want to work for.
However, I then came to the realization that I have learned all that I can here. I have reached maximum potential with limited space for growth. The desire to learn, grow and encounter new challenges is what finally pushed me to take charge of my situation. It took realizing that the pot I am in, was no longer this giant scary place that once felt so overwhelming. In fact, the pot had grown to become small and constrained. I had to accept the fact that I had outgrown my current situation. It was finally time to take that leap of faith and find my next adventure. Beginning this process once more, navigating through anxiety and confusion that is often the highlight of life-changing decisions. I was surprised to discover that in addition to fear I felt a zing of excitement.
That's when I knew I was making the right decision. That feeling As I started searching for a new place to plant my roots I began to feel something that I haven't in a long time. Not since the beginning of my current ending. A sense of awe and anticipation for my future. I welcomed this feeling, like a hug of an old friend. I can't tell you where my life is heading for I do not know the way. Yet, what I do know, is that making the decision to step outside my comfort zone will be worthwhile. It will be scary but also exhilarating. I can't wait to see which pot my roots will take place in next. It will be a while before they bloom, but I guarantee you the process will be worthwhile.
